"It's not about you, but what is best for your child." Renatta Cooper
"Preschool is the most fundamental period in children's lives." Sandy Escobido
'Teaching is not an Occupation but an Occu-Passion!" Nefertiti K. Bruce
I choose the same one from Renatta cooper. I felt it is something we all need to be reminded of. It is difficult sometimes to remove ourselves from the situation and do what is best for the child. Our own feelings and emotions get involved.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Nefertiti has a great quote. A job should be fun and something you are passionate about, not just something you do for a paycheck.
I love Edward Zigler's quote in regards to poor children! A child's socio-economic status should not be a factor in terms of what they are able to achieve or accomplish. Teaching in a low income school, I often see low expectations of childen. These low expectations would not exist if the children resided in more affluent communities.
